Reminder for me: merge master into samplers/high-volubility

I didn't see any other sampler tests, but should I prioritize high-volubility tests or move on to eaf builder?

this is my bad... I gave up with the samplers tests So I'd say move on, I'll write some tests - and I think it is good if the tests are written independently from the implementation anyway!
