The current metrics API is a bit difficult to understand imo (especially the parts involving grids and confusion matrices, the rest is okay).

Please list all feature requests to make it better here

Describe the solution you'd like

Functionalities

[x] make 'overlap' and 'none' options in segments_to_grid
[x] generate confusion matrices with a matrix multiplication (A.T x B) instead of a complicated rightmost priority system...

Performance

[ ] add a sparse option to segments_to_grid ?
[ ] consider numpy.bool arrays (should divide memory consumption by 4?)

I feel performance is not an issue for the moment (the main concern being memory consumption). Therefore, unless you have additional feature requests, I'll merge the current PR (#248) and move on
