Opportunity came from John presenting to SLT about the Lifeboat 2-3 months ago - Judy said they're interested in publishing data.

Questions for SSLE (to turn into generalized questions):

What data do they have and how is it stored (database, spreadsheets, etc.)?
What format is it in, is there a data dictionary?
How does it get updated? How often?
Can we publish it right now?

General questions for us: Beyond just posting, how do we categorize it?

What should this look like on our website(s)? Under "Transparency"?
Not just building a dashboard.

What Data Exists?

What data do we have available to publish?
Are there already categories?
What is the volume of data?
What should retention look like?

Technical

How is it stored?
What format is it in?
Does metadata exists, describing the data fields and giving context?
How does it get updated, and how often?
What does technical capacity look like?

Publishing

Any sensitive info, PII?
Should any of it be aggregated or redacted?
Can it be published now?

Needs

Internal reporting
Automating

KPI data already being published in Board Reports.
Maybe daily or weekly uploads?
Stop data provided to DOJ as part of Assembly Bill.
Will want to confer with County Counsel.
Potential PSAC needs & signoff.

Next Steps:

[ ] Ron to brief Judy, set up Working Group, and find a replacement because he's retiring Jan 1.
