The language code is “pt-PT”
Related: #1774
This is different from Portuguese (Brazil) and there is an even deeper difference than e.g. British/American English. People from Portugal instantly tell the difference between Portuguese (Portugal) and Portuguese (Brazil) and they shouldn’t be combined into a single language. Brazillian spelling in Portugal greatly reduces credibility. Brazillian spelling in e-mails, for example, is seen in Portugal as a sign of a possible scam.
If thats so, I can't even imagine what you do with people who speak Galician or Spanish.
The issue with the language is just the way phrases are constructed, it's not like UK/US English where some words have different meanings or the accent is different. Some phrases in pt-BR have words ordered in reverse from pt-PT (or vice/versa), there are also words with different meanings. But for AI it will only differ in the phrase construction.
Not agains splitting EP, from BP. But the comment in this issue is just weirdly xenophobic...
I am willing to help out with Pt-PT with coding, learning this tech myself and also I am not a Portuguese language teacher. This is a feature request.
Best wishes and regards Jorge
