Crash in Merge and Refine #108

Issue vom Mark via the old bug tracker:

Happy New Year. As you guessed when I try and Merge and Refine 

dirlist: Undefined variable.

For me this looks like there are still some minor issues with the new naming convention. -> Henning, thanks for fixing this ;)
