Fixed a few bugs in cc, mse and shrinkage-mse calculations. Also cleaned up initial conditions setup in xforms.fit_basic_init, which calls several intializer routines. Finally, cleaned up xform_helper. These changes should be helpful to @jacobpennington and @lshaheen.
