The relink database functionality only works IF all exchanges can be found in the new database (the one that the algorithm tries to get the new links from). If not, if fails. For now, I would consider this feature as "experimental" and we should highlight this to the user by including a pop-up like: "this feature is at the experimental stage only. We strongly recommend that you backup your database before. The relinking will fail if not all exchanges to be relinked can be found in the new database [and what does the AB do then? Is it then partially relinked? Or not at all?]". And then give the user the option to continue or abort.
