In my current play-through, I finally got to test the become-a-lich part.
However had, in the dialogue options presented, only Viconia could be chosen (option 1), or the second option being "I have to reconsider" or so. So basically, only Viconia can become a lich.
I am not entirely certain why.
Jan is also in the party; I'd like him to become a lich.
Or, alternatively, my main actor, who is a dual-class (first berzerker, now mage at level 11 or so).
I assume there are some restrictions that the code checks, but I am also not entirely certain why e. g. Jan or the main dual-class fighter/mage characer can not become a lich. His alignment is neutral though, so perhaps that is why. I re-read the main README, though, and it states:
"The chosen character may be of any alignment, but their alignment will turn into the Evil version of this alignment"
So I am not sure why my main character can not be chosen. Could you have a look at the check for becoming a lich, and see whether there is no bug? Additionally, in the dialogue before the choosing-which-character-becomes a lich, perhaps it can be more clearly explained which character may qualify and which one may not, e. g. the gravekeeper (is that inspired by tales from the crypt, the cryptkeeper?). Right now I am a bit confused.
Also, perhaps some kind of small extra crypt nearby could be added too, where the ritual takes place - a bit similar to Lava's Barovia quest, where one new entrance is nearby on the cemetary - just for atmospheric purposes, e. g. one can enter the crypt there and lay down on the altar.
