This is a known issue caused by the way x32 "steals" Windows Explorer's notification icons. Specifically, only the icons visible in the taskbar are displayed, so any icons that are hidden are inaccessible. The workaround is to set Explorer to always display all icons.
I am not currently planning on directly fixing this because I am currently working on a full replacement that will work properly in shell mode too. Also, different Windows versions handle it very differently, so simply adapting the current system is wildly impractical.
