Manually deleting value reset to fallback_colors #1

Hi, i just found this amazing script and tried to understand the way it works to add a button to delete the value of the field. While doing that I found i can't erase the field's value because once it's blank it's always reseted to the fallbacks values. My question : is it a bug or a feature ? It would be logical if I erase the value of the field to keep the field empty.
