A major piece in the Closing the Loop grant is for Sinopia to support an RDF-to-MARC conversion such that Sinopia RDF (and more specifically BIBFRAME RDF) is converted to MARC so that these records can be imported into an institution's local ILS.
In the process of investigating this issue, starting with the Library of Congress bibframe2marc conversion that is based on converting LOC specific BIBFRAME RDF XML into MARC XML using XSLT.
@justinlittman has a working approach that takes Sinopia BIBFRAME RDF and converts into MARC with his proof-of-concept rdf2marc project.
A third approach is extending the current resource templates and add marcTemplates such that MARC21 is generated from the Redux state of the Sinopia editor. The rdf-to-marc is a proof-of-concept. This option will postponed for a future Work Cycle
