Measure rates of different types of hits

• Rate of TOT Mode (hit above TOT Threshold)
• Rate of TOA (hit above TOA Threshold)

Rates expressed in Average N cells per event.

• Allows us to estimate how much conflict between events there potentially is
• Looking for TOTs in the same spot across multiple crossings, conflicts cause dead regions and loss of information

Excellent work done by @p-masterson on measuring the rates of TOT hits. Summary from October 2020 Collaboration Meeting (starts on slide 11).

Summary Table

The max percentage of time in reset is measured in the layer corresponding to the shower max.

As you can see, this is a major reason to move to thinner sensors. We see an almost 40-fold drop in the time that a cell is in reset in the ECal.
