Default to 2 or something, but allow for any number.

This is in the SCP command - we should check to see if this is an option. If not, then abandon it - it isn't worth much benefit unless on a very high speed connection, and when it is a high speed connection...

Ok - this is already automatic in rucio - Looks like on the tev machines it is doing 3. So only need to check scp to see if that can be done better.
