Idk but the files just wont work. #417

The thin is idk i just wont open. Whejn ı start the exe file it wants to me put some kinda file and i put the file and it says sameboy and it just a black screan and also there was another files that ı tested but it was almost same one of the file gave me a blackscreen and few of them gave me whitescrean but one of the file just gave me blue and white dots and also ım on windows 8.1.

Could you share the ROM files you're trying to run? If possible, a screen recording of the issue happening would also be helpful.

It appears that you're trying to open files that are not Game Boy ROMs; what files are you trying to open?

SameBoy doesn't include .gb or .gba ROMs, so you may need to download those from a different source, also, some GBAs don't run on SameBoy properly. Try using VBA-M instead.

Also, only open .gb, .gba or .sgb files

P.S. I get my GameBoy ROMs from EmulatorGames.net, They work from there.

LIJI has previously mentioned in the gbdev Discord server that Game Boy Advance (.gba) ROMs are out of SameBoy's scope. Virtually all .gb, .sgb, and .gbc files that work on a Game Boy or Game Boy Color should work in SameBoy.
