java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError when creating a program similar to ExampleMostMinimal.java

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create new project
2. Copy Paste source of ExampleMostMinimal.java
3. Compile and Run

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output should be the cube rotating instead i get force close with the 
following exception 
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
version 20 on ubuntu 10.4

Please provide any additional information below.
When i make the exampleMostMinimal source code file as the launcher activity in 
manifest then i get ClassNotFound Exception but when i instead through an 
intent from a splash screen to this activity then i get NoClassDefFoundError.

I was not simply pasting the library but adding the sample project to the build 
path
