Acts as a mirror for internal LLEB at minimum. Can provide a meaningful alternative for LLEB members if made public with registration restricted to members.

Any potential issue with a selfhosted SourceHut install? I very much like the UI. We could also do something similar to Shithub which has code you can find here: http://only9fans.com/git/garden/shithub/HEAD/info.html

Statically generated, of course, which we might not want.

I don't believe so. Ideally, I want to make it still very easy for internal users to still interact with this repository. The very basic UI is nice, but it could be "complicating" to some.

Shithub

I think the only issue I have with this is the lack of Issues or bug tracking. We could use another service for it, but it brings up the same point as the last comment: simple and intuitive. We could host more than one, but it becomes a point of redundancy. We could also provide custom theming on something like Gitea to allow both the familiar UI and a minimal version. Golang is something that's simple and familiar so it could be a good breeding ground.

@cyckl What do you think of the theming idea for Gitea? It could in theory be the middleground that would be ideal for deployment? It also means we get things to look exactly how we'd want it to (in all instances).

I think we could actually deploy Sourcehut. The ticketing system there isn't too bad and should be reasonably usable by most. If you think it will be easier to deploy than Gitea, I have no quarrel with it anymore. Once #16 is closed, we'll basically no longer be reliant on Git for information and other non-sense, so the look of things isn't as much of a concern as it was in the "lleb" days.
