Crossover Distortion Stuck Sound #3788

Not sure if this is bug in the Zyn instrument or with the crossover distortion plugin but combining Zyn's Cormi_Sound/0012-Ghost Whistle with the LADSPA swh Crossover Distortion effect seems to play a sound forever. Crossover settings for reference. LMMS is 1.2.0-rc3. Can reproduce on Mac and Windows.

  1. Start a new project
  2. Drag the ZynAddSubFX Preset Cormi_Sound/0012-Ghost Whistle to a new instrument track
  3. Open the newly added instrument, Click "FX", tab click "Add"
  4. Add the effect "Crossover Distortion"
  5. Change the knobs to the below values and press any key on the piano

@tresf Can you provide an example project file? I can't reproduce with these steps.

@PhysSong are you reproducing with RC3? This may have been fixed with a recent patch. Can reproduce right away on Windows 1.2.0-RC3 as well. Edit: Added the steps to reproduce.

I can reproduce using Windows 10 Pro, with LMMS 1.2.0-rc.3.

This is caused by the crossover distortion effect, but for some reason, the distorted sound generated is never ending. Related: https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/issues/1048#issuecomment-328282376
