Huh. Never heard about .fxb. Ahh, it would be like a universal preset for VSTs, pretty cool. Would allow cooperation across DAWs with same VST
Well, as .fxp saves only a single sound pre-set (thus the 'p' of .fxp) an .fxb saves an entire bank of sound pre-sets (thus the 'b' of .fxb) And while certainly useful for cooperation between DAWs, it's also very useful for keeping sets of sounds together, and not having to load individual preset sounds all the time (a percussion bank, a horns bank, a strings bank, a bass bank, etc etc etc)
Huh, again. So it is like a folder with presets. Some VSTi's, like Synth1, got it's own system on this, other VSTi's don't, so it is a nice suggestion. What I am most exited about this is still the ability to work across DAW's.
Exactly! I do believe Synth1 simply has it's own interface for loading .fxp and .fxb files, but that is still what it's working with. :D Don't know if you use the KVR site at all, but they have TONS of pre-sets and banks for all kinds of VSTi's, including Synth1 http://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php?s=list&product=214&order=date

Is this ticket still relevant ?
Heya. So I've been trying to make my own banks of presets for various instruments. Largely, I've been doing so using VSTHost. I also recently discovered that ToyBear MiniHost can load any arbitrary number of .fxp files and save them ALL into a single .fxb The issue is, when I try to load the resulting .fxb into LMMS, it a) only seems to load the name for the first preset, and b) doesn't actually load all of the presets contained in the bank. I have checked in other DAWs, and those load the created (via ToyBear MiniHost) .fxb files just fine. (VSTHost, Reaper, Psycle, and Mu.Lab)
