I CAN'T JUMP! #8

I applied the cheat via action replay, and for some reason A won't let me punch, and the B button won't make my character jump. Using an Xbox1 controller, everything else is fine. Made sure I put in the AR code for the right revision too, what's happening here? They work when selecting options from the main menu, but my character still won't jump or attack.

update: used ips patch and it works fine now lol

The patch shouldn't be affecting the A B X Y buttons in any meaningful way. Other than an issue like using the wrong AR code or not mapping the controller, the only thing I can think of is perhaps you had the in-game controls setting changed from default. The game included three control layouts, the first being intended for D-Pad controls and the other two being intended for touch-screen controls. The mod assumes that you're using "Standard Mode", and while the other modes should still work, they aren't fully tested. Switching to the IPS patch probably worked around it because, if you gave the patched ROM a new name, it would be accessing a different save file.

Which version of the game were you using? I can try to see if I can replicate the issue myself.
