4 years ago Here is a hexbin plot for the AGN positions for one of the instance catalogs I'm generating for this issue. These data are for visit 726652:
I added a 0.32 degree buffer (approximately the angle subtended by a CCD along its diagonal) to the radius of the minimal field-of-view around the pointing direction that would enclose the DDF (indicated by the dashed lines).

4 years ago Instead of the AGN-only catalogs noted above, I created a set of 150 instance catalogs that use the example truth catalogs in /global/cscratch1/sd/brycek/example_truth. These catalogs include all of the components that we plan to simulate for the Run3.0i production runs. They are packaged up in tarballs here

We'll create instance catalogs for 5 visits in each band that just have the non-strongly lensed AGNs in them and which exclude stars, galaxies, and non-strongly lensed SNe, as all of these components are already in the Run2.2i checkpoint files. We'll choose visits that cover the DDF region.
