Generating realistic LSST cadence for (lensed) supernova simulations

Using cadence simulations by Catarina Alves

Contacts: Nikki Arendse Time: Morning/Afternoon Main communication channel: GitHub repo: In-person/Virtual/Hybrid: in-person

Goals and deliverables

The goal of this session is to simulate supernova lightcurves in multiple bands according to the Rubin Baseline v2.1 cadence (simulated by Catarina Alves). This is a missing part in my (Nikki Arendse) DESC project about inferring the Hubble constant from lensed supernovae, but it might also be of use to more people.

Resources and skills needed

Python

Why not use the DC2 cadences directly? I can help pull that tomorrow.

Hi @Nikki1510 ,

I might be able to help a bit with this if I can understand your objective a bit better. Thanks! I will be available on zoom mostly, and we can discuss if you want.
