A comparison of SNANA sims with DC2 lightcurves:
1- Impact estimation of correc/incorrect Eff(SNR) in simulations
2- Comparing lightcurve general properties -such as cadence and coverage
3- Deliver a simple framework for this comparison to be repeated in future
Resources and skills needed
A computing account at NERSC Cori (where SNANA and DC2 are hosted)
Interest in learning about DC2 SN lightcurves
Knowledge of general SNANA concepts
Detailed description
We plan on working with DC2 lightcurves from DIA detections.
Dataset should be provided but we can re-generate samples with custom soft, also provided.
