Photo-z blending

Study the impact of galaxy blending on photometric redshift estimates (point estimates and probability distribution functions)

Goals and deliverable

[x] Using machine learning (TPZ code) to generate photo-z’s for our sample
[x] Cross-validation of the learning algorithm
[ ] Adding more statistical tests

Resources and skills needed

A computing account at NERSC, CC-IN2P3, SDSC, etc. Knowledge of statistics

Detailed description

We will be working with CosmoDC2_v.1.1.4_small (truth) and DC2_dr6a (coadd).

We are using the following version of MLZ which is compatible with Python 3 and the newer versions (>1.1.6) of numpy: https://github.com/enourbakhsh/MLZ
