[SPRINT] Analysis pipelines from now to DR1 #50

Open slosar opened 3 years ago

slosar commented 3 years ago

A plan how to organize work over the next few years.

Contacts: @slosar Day/Time: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Main communication channel: slack me privately GitHub repo: I'll post a google doc

Goals and deliverable

The question is how do make sure we are ready when the telescope is and organize the effort in a way that is both efficient and easy on the collaboration members.

Resources and skills needed

Being a genius helps. Need people willing to look over and comment on the draft plan.

Detailed description

Details will emerge as the plan emerges. We want to write:

Analysis Pipelines: a structured description of the key analysis pipelines, what we know of performance requirements and how they are to be assessed, and the coarse-grained stages of work on their development and validation from now to survey.

Thanks everyone who left comments; a lot of useful stuff. Given that DC2 telecon is cancelled tomorrow, can we have a brief tag-up about these issues on the AC zoom at 11AM Eastern (DC2 slot) (note that this otherwise an unprotected public web page, so you can find it here: https://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/display/LSSTDESC/Zoom+Meeting+Information). Hopefully not more than 30 mins. Feel free to garbage me out.

Sorry, Anze, I am otherwise committed then. I'll keep watching the comments on the doc etc.

Unfortunately I won't be available either.

The sprint pitches/wrap-ups happen at that time, I would like to listen to them .. If you still want to do this, could we start a little later than 8am? Usually they are done under 30 minutes.

Oh, I got confused over sprint week schedule, yes, we don't want to be overlapping with wrap-up. Ok, let's postpone to next week some time.
