The Rubin team would like a different instrument model to be used for simulated LSSTCam data. Some discussion here. The plan is to implement a LsstCamSim instrument model in obs_lsst (in a similar fashion as the LsstComCamSim model) that mirrors the actual LSSTCam configuration.
