richi-M commented 7 years ago

MegaRak64 commented 7 years ago

Slackware, received ban 5.06.2017 P.S. Maybe because i use old version of Fuzion (before xdo adding)?

ghost commented 7 years ago

i didnt got banned (im using also arch)

Floraly commented 7 years ago

2 Accoutns VAC Banned on Ubuntu 17.04

I do not use Antiaim or Aimtbot. I stopped using all Wallhack features and use only Triggerbot and Recoil crosshair. To make it look more legit playstyle. But also got VAC Banned, I am sure it was no Overwatch! All demos looked too legit and both Accounts got banned same Day!

i am testing Arch. one new account with mm and one only play casual @MegaRak64 Slackware is not an Ubuntu Distro or something like that?

@richi-M Sorry I am so noobish. I know now that Slackware is the First Linux ever ;D

@richi-M Sorry I am so noobish. I know now that Slackware is the First Linux ever ;D

Manjaro XFCE Edition (17.0.2-rc4) with linux49 4.9.38 (Currently testing with)

  1. sudo create /tmp/dumps with "No" user privilege
  2. build Fuzion in user-mode
  3. Start Steam and CSGO
  4. load gdb method
  5. rm Library File from Harddisk
xitero commented 7 years ago

@Floraly I use the same, the only difference is that my kernel is in version 4.9.39-1 LTS (I think yours is the same, just need to update, I use the testing repository). Now I believe you are well, just avoid using anti-aims / spinbots in mm. Following is my legit config that I and some friends have been using for about a month, with no bans so far. Legit Config: https://pastebin.com/UfQuy3uk

richi-M commented 7 years ago

4.9 ? uff im on 4.11 or something like that but @Floraly why do you create a new dir with no permissions and remove the lib after injecting ? why why why ??? i just build it and inject it thats literally it yall overdoing it a bit tbh

xitero commented 7 years ago

@richi-M I also just build and inject. I use Kernel 4.9 because it is the latest LTS version. Versions LTS has constant updates for bug fixes, non-LTS kernel versions if you have a problem, you have to wait for a new version and make the change or go back to an earlier version.

BoberMod commented 7 years ago

@Floraly

  1. sudo create /tmp/dumps with "No" user privilege

is it chmod 0000?

  1. rm Library File from Harddisk

why? And what do you mean by "library"?

richi-M commented 7 years ago

@BoberMod he means the shared object (.so file) but deleting it does nothing and is completely unnecassary (idk how2spell this word)

MegaRak64 commented 7 years ago

@Floraly What a method of inject you use on Ubuntu?

Floraly commented 7 years ago

@BoberMod I do this becasue cathook does the same. and yes chmod 000 /tmp/dumps on any restart @MegaRak64 on ubuntu I used gdb / load and tested hotpatch on 2 Accounts. Both got VAC Banned. @xitero thanks for the Config! @richi-M I used Manjaro for the first time didn't know the test Image with Kernel 4.11 thanks for the hint!!!

ghost commented 7 years ago

Valve also says that they only support Steam on Ubuntu and look at the issue tracker on their GitHub. They support other distro families.

I personally received 1 ban on the initial Wave on Arch Linux.

xitero commented 7 years ago

@Marc3842h This discussion refers to after the ban wave occurred in June, not before.

mellowagain commented 7 years ago

Understandable have a great day

1337kiwi commented 7 years ago

Debian 9.0 Stretch, did not receive any bans.

BoberMod commented 7 years ago

@d4rkf0x, how long have you been using it?

xitero commented 7 years ago

@Marc3842h about "They support other distro families." Is it possible for you to send the source link where it says this?

mellowagain commented 7 years ago

@xitero They don't officially support it where its written, but if you look at the issue tracker, they are accepting issues from non-Ubuntu distros: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues

LWSS commented 7 years ago

Kisak uses Gentoo and since he works for Valve, he's allowed to cheat.

Therefore you all should install Gentoo

1337kiwi commented 7 years ago

@BoberMod Using stretch (9.0) since it came out, before that using debian jessie since 2012.

Unfortunately I no longer have my Fuzion configs since I gave up on Linux a long time ago (I only used to cheat).
