[Suggestion] - Utilizing a Latency and delta Amplitude metric for evoked responses. #65

Greetings,

I have a suggestion which builds off of the output file you get from utilizing the "Extract data from ROI" function in Umitoolbox. As shown below (hopefully), the output given is an x,y,t, interaction with respects to the event/trigger. I think it would be useful if we could get a metric calculation that shows not only the delta amplitude for the minimum signal amplitude, but also the maximum. As this would tell us more information about the change in hemodynamic response. Using the example below, the change in signal would be about 0.005. But then if you take the peak response (upward reflection) then it turns to 0.00675 using quick estimation tools. Additionally, this upward reflection is not always present after some experimental changes, and therefore would be a nice tool to have for illustration said change.

Additionally, I think it would be useful to show the latency, as this could be useful for showing how a condition or experimental change could influence not only intensity, but also latency of the response.

Because hopefully this would use only the E,X,Y,T responses, it could be done without the use of any .dat files. This would be ideal for labs such as mine which do not have access to large storage repositories. Then this could be done in post after a whole colony has been analyzed.

Hope others find this useful.
