Question

Is there the facility to handle some of the payment processing ourselves? For example, enterprise payments which will not want to go via PayPal or Stripe.

There are different options available on how licenses can be acquired and associated with the customer profile:

NetLicensing Shop
NetLicensing Gateway with an external eCommerce solution
Manually via NetLicensing management console
NetLicensing RESTful API

NetLicensing Shop

NetLicensing Shop is optional, but the most convenient option to offer your products to the end-customers.

These are some notable features available while using NetLicensing Shop:

configure once: product and modules configuration made in the NetLicensing management console will be available in the NetLicensing Shop
new & existing customers: sell the licenses to the new and existing customers
white label: customize shop logo, colours and texts accordingly to your CI
shopping experience: NetLicensing shop delivers state-of-the-art shopping experience with the shopping cart, checkout, confirmation page and email order confirmation

NetLicensing Gateway

NetLicensing Gateway allows you to connect any external eCommerce system using webhooks and fulfilment processes.

Advantages:

variety of systems: any eCommerce system, which is supporting fulfilment processes through webhooks can be added as a new integration within some few days
separation of concerns: implement clear processes across the systems
hosted or on-premises: use hosted NetLicensing Gateway instance or simply start your own using Doker container

Management Console

Manage customers' licenses through the NetLicensing Management Console.

Advantages:

zero-implementation: use management console to create and update customer profiles, assign and modify licenses, verify license status, etc.

NetLicensing RESTful API

Use NetLicensing RESTful API to create and manage NetLicensing entities, such as Licensee (Customer) and License.

Advantages:

flexibility: connect NetLicensing with your in-house CRM and ERP systems and setup individual licensing flow.
