Fix freeze frames breaking accessibility onboard and title screen fade in #248

Title is straightforward: y'all broke stuff! Which is a problem, because I do wanna use this mod for a small modpack due to some of its features!

(the fix is setting freezeFrames to -1 by default, the rest is just some good practice; it's been tested)
