Adjust Model for Drainage Depth #896

Open DonZandbergen opened 1 month ago

Description

The average groundwater level fluctuation is more than 0.7 meters below the foundation level. At these values, the likelihood of differential settlement of a foundation on clay in a river area is low.

Actions

  1. Data Sources and Analysis

    • Utilize the National Water Model
    • Inventory and incorporate peilgebieden (level areas)
    • Use groundwater data entered as sample values
  2. Model Adjustment

    • Update the drainage depth model to reflect the relationship between groundwater level fluctuation and foundation settlement risk.
  3. Distinguish Reliability

    • Differentiate the reliability of the data and analysis to provide a clearer risk assessment.
  4. Perform Analysis

    • Conduct analysis to determine areas where the groundwater level is more than 0.7 meters below the foundation level.
  5. Integrate Results

    • Integrate the results into the drainage depth model to improve the accuracy of risk assessments for differential settlement.
  6. Documentation Updates

    • Update the documentation to reflect the changes in the drainage depth model and the data sources used.
  7. Testing and Validation

    • Test the updated model to ensure accuracy and consistency.
    • Validate the results of the analysis to confirm the low risk of settlement in the specified conditions.
  8. Deployment

    • Deploy the updated model and data to the production environment.

Expected Behavior

The drainage depth model should accurately reflect the risk of differential settlement based on the groundwater level fluctuation relative to the foundation level, particularly in river areas with clay soil.
