motor torque vs amperage in a brushed motor.
engineering aspect of it could be figuring out what the efficiency of the motor is.
measure current draw from the battery to see how much energy is wasted converting electric energy to kinetic energy of the robot.
measure current draw in steady state speed at various speeds to measure the steady state waste of electricity due to all sources of friction (back EMF, as well as mechanical friction, as well as carpet friction)... have students brainstorm to see which pieces of the robot operation could have frictional losses and what they could do reduce them.
