What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Connect to FTP through experimental Proxy using Explorer in Win 7
2.Try to upload a file to phone, all file types to any folder or root
location.
3.

What is the expected behavior? What do you see instead?
For it to calculate the upload time and complete file transfer.
Instead receive error, "An error occurred opening the folder on the FTP
server. Make sure you have permission to access this folder.

Details:
The handle is invalid."

What version of SwiFTP are you using?

1.23

What operating system are you using?

HTC Droid Eris 1.5 and Windows 7 x64

Which FTP client are you using?
Windows Explorer

Which Android device do you have (Nexus, Droid, Hero, G1, etc.)?
HTC Eris Droid

May we contact you by email to ask questions? If so, what is your email
address?
lifsuchy@gmail.com

Please provide any additional information below.
I am able to delete files and copy from phone. I can also create new
folders, but I cannot create new files. I can not paste into my phone or
write to my phone. I think this is a file permission issue but I am
unable to change file permissions with this FTP server. Is this a feature
that can be added or can you explain to me how to do this through another
client.

Thanks,

I am having the same problem. N1 ver. 2.2 using windows explorer over LAN. I
can
connect perfectly but get a permissions error when pasting any document to
phone.

Permission problems are outside of the scope of SwiFTP. Closing this ticket
unless
someone can show that it's a SwiFTP issue.

Suggestion: use a file manager program view and edit the permissions on your
device.
Unless you rooted your device, you may have permissions only on a few
directories.

My N1 was rooted, but also encountered permission problem, /sdcard/mp3. Another
android APP, FTPService, do not have this issue, even when N1 not rooted. I
think it's a issue or misoperation, just give a way to avoid such
misoperation,Tks VM.

SwiFTP is known to be broken and is no longer supported.
