at the moment there is only the option to hide status messages (like join, part, quit,...) from channels, otherwise they are shown like every other message.
It would be nice to show them, but in a different way, for example in a different color:
When "Nick line colours" is activated, only color the normal messages, and show all status messages in black
When "Nick line colours" is not activated, only colour the status messages, and show all normal messages in black
Than you have all messages visible, but it would be easy to differentiate between normal messages and status messages
