I'm downloading the game, please wait guys :)

Lamer87 commented 5 months ago

update tested and uploaded. you can enjoy the game :)

JQ3B94 commented 5 months ago

image still throws up the error..

Lamer87 commented 5 months ago

Mine works correctly...

-If you have the tool, use it and select "remove". -Do a recheck of game files via steam. -Try again.

For now you are the only one reporting this, so I think something went wrong during your steam update.

EDIT:

Did you modified the file cream_api.ini? maybe to edit dlcs? because the error it's from a missing value... btw just do as i told you, and try again with the new 1.2 unlocker.

EagleGundam commented 4 months ago

i get the same error but only wen using the plungin launcher

YMGMengsk commented 4 months ago

I also have this problem with the Plugin Launcher but also with the Normal start

Edit: i did a complete new clean install of Space engineers and the Unlocker but i still does not function.

JQ3B94 commented 4 months ago

Same issue on Plugin Loader. Works without the PL.

Lamer87 commented 4 months ago

Never used the plugin loader guys, just mods from workshop. 5.2 is the latest version of creamapi (you can see here), if it creates error it's because it is not compatible (anymore) with the plugin launcher. So, use creamapi -OR- plugin launcher for now, not both at the same time, and let's wait for an updated creamapi (if it is the case).

Before the release I always test it on my legit game and I can use creamapi with no problem at all.

If you want you can try the old 5.1 creamapi, or even the older one: -install via tool -copy "steam_api64.dll" from "Backup\CreamAPI\old_v5.1.0.0" into Bin64 -try to launch the game -if not work, try the same with "Backup\CreamAPI\old_v4.5.0.0".

PS: REMOVE all dll files from plugin loader and DO NOT run the game from the "SpaceEngineersLauncher.exe", but via normal steam link (or directly inside steam app).

This is my Space Engineers menù screen (some dlc are legit, others are not): proofsecream

PLEASE let me know if you can prevent the error removing all .dll of the plugin loader/launcher.

Reproduced the REAL error message, with the background: (I don't know why you didn't mention that the error was caused by something additional to the game -_- thanks to whoever specified it.)

pluginlauncherror

Now I have a question: did you use the launcher before update together with creamapi, and did it work?

Lamer87 commented 4 months ago

UPDATE: seems that with creamapi v4.5.0.0 the launcher doesn't give error, but Idk if its ok to start the game with the old version, because there are fixes that include Space Engineers (in v5.1.0.0).

pluginwith45

let me do some testing...

If this thing works, I'll add a check in the tool so if the plugin launcher is present, the tool prompts you to install the v4.5.0.0. the only requirement will be that the "SpaceEngineersLauncher.exe" must be placed in Bin64 before using my tool.

Lamer87 commented 4 months ago

UPDATE 2: tested, the game start, plugin menù is present, it works.

So, for now: 1- install creamapi via my tool 2- reach the folder "Backup\CreamAPI\old_v4.5.0.0" and copy the file "steam_api64.dll" 3- go back to "Bin64" folder and paste the file (overwriting) 4- you can use the plugin launcher.

I'll update the tool to prevent this error.

Lamer87 commented 4 months ago

version 1.3 is online.

Let me know if it's ok ;)

I have also included the possibility to completely remove Plugin Launcher, so if it still gives you errors you can try eliminating it and just use CreamAPI.

If all goes well, in the next release I will add the possibility to backup all the Plugin Launcher files in order to remove them from the Bin64 folder, and subsequently even restore, without having to completely delete them.
