Is there a possibility to run it without a virtualbox setup? Maybe containered?

Hey, Yes, you can deploy to any setup, we discussed it a bit a while back, you can have a look: https://github.com/LandRover/StaffjoyV2/issues/10

In general, you can deploy to any K8S setup.
