can personally confirm from retail: if I start a ranged attack while mob is in range, it will finish even if mob roams out of range
@ShiyoKozuki iirc isn't there also some problem with the coordinate check in general, as well?
What check?
Also a note: If the mob moves outside of 25', it should guarantee miss but still claim the mob.
This all sounds incredibly easy to test on retail

not sure about that guarantee without checking vs a lv 1 bunny while stacking tons of racc, but I do know the distance function of racc will heavily nerf racc regardless since that will be waaaaay away from the sweet spot for any type of ranged weapon
2/2 misses with an ilvl boomerang against a lvl30 mob. I'd say it's acccurate.

thats not anywhere near a reasonable standard of checking. I'll do it. I've got a 119 thf than can spam ra whiel half afk
So I just now HIT a crawler from over 25. the attack landed with the mob at 27.2 away from me, so that always miss part is proven false and was the only doubt I had here. I also have a trail of bunnies on my that I missed on, still claimed them (and obviously the attack wasn't interrupted).
Floored, then? 20%?
likely, from distance modding acc
Confirmed via sharpshot, which removes the distance/sweet spot penalty - I can hit'em then.
It seems something has change or was missed since the oct 2021 testing, and new testing is being performed.
Had a similar situation where we found the rules seemed to be different for dungeons vs outdoors in regards to casting magic that lead to some confusion.
Additional Information (Steps to reproduce/Expected behavior) : There should be no limit to how far you can shoot if you start shooting at 25 yalms, it's not like spells.
