dsBudget doesn't open after upgrade to java 7

I upgraded java after  a system prompt to do so, afterwards dsBudget would not 
open.  I have reinstalled java 6 and can now open the program but now I 
continue to receive the upgrade prompt for java.  Is there a fix in the near 
future?  I am running Windows 8.1 and the latest Internet Explorer browser.

Can you try re-installing dsBudget? Also, do you see anything interesting in 
the dsbudget.log (it's under a path like 
C:\Users\Soichi\AppData\Roaming\dsBudget)
