User Input validation

[ ] Main function will evaluate the user input
[ ] There may be a second helper inside validation wrapper function that will help evaluate. I do not want the main function to be very convoluted and take up too much space

When completed need to move validation to a separate file. It is getting pretty lengthy in the JourDisp.inc file.
