But there are 4 cookies stored without user consent. Is this illegal according to european GDPR law?

Ah I see, no this relates to the API. Meaning the data being sent to the API (names, emails, etc.) since the website isn't the 'product'.

In relation to GDPR, no. That's a personal data law, mostly irrelevant to cookies. It's the cookie law that requires banners.

I do see analytics on the site which I haven't checked since launch, so I'll add it to my todo to have it removed 😄 thanks for notifying

CleanShot 2020-12-29 at 12 02 48@2x Some of the cookies are Adsense related, so instead I installed a cookie banner with option to reject cookies 👍 Still testing to see how that actually works but presumably it works as the service describes
