Minyami not pulling key/data from Abema.tv #116

Closed flingpossecule closed 10 months ago

Basic Information

Describe the bug Minyami no longer gets key/data information from Abema videos of any kind. Both live video and PPV are all coming back with no data.

To Reproduce Go to Abema and attempt to use extension

Expected behavior Extension gets data to then use to download

At this time it is working fine for general Abema VOD. That PPV you mentioned is not covered by Minyami because it has DRM protection. You can tell DRM protection by whether the "ペイパービュー" text is light blue or gray. Also probably, "https://abema.tv/live-event/" is most likely DRM content.

It was working fine before on PPV on Abema just two days before. There was a video event on 05/30 that I was able to pull the data for in the extension with no issues. I'm assuming this is something that changed in Abema?

It seems that more Abema contents are switching to DRM mode now. Minyami is not designed to work with Widevine contents.

"https://abema.tv/channels/payperview-5/slots/DPfmTaTw4AbXGb" I think you are probably referring to this PPV, but as I explained, the url is payperview-5/slots/, not live-event/, and the text under the date is also gray, so it only worked because it was HLS.

As far as I remember, since they started dealing with special rights-related videos such as the World Cup, they started setting up DRM with slightly different specifications than existing ones such as rentals, and since the ABEMA coin will be discontinued soon, I think they are migrating the PPV specifications along with it.
