Can't uninstall #26

I installed the credential provider to test and would now like to uninstall. I have tried from my account with local administrative privileges logged in via the standard credentials provider, my account with domain admin privileges logged in via the standard credentials provider, and my account with local administrative privileges logged in via the multiotp credential provider. In every case I get an error saying I need to be an administrator. I am running version 3.0.701.1530. How do I go about uninstalling the credential provider?

I was able to uninstall by booting into safemode, enabling and starting the windows installer service, and then proceeding to uninstall
