Tips for form in the pixel art medium

on the outer edge of a shape, much darker shades will give depth and imply 3D shape.
brighter shades on the outer edge give definition and highlighting implying a sharper shape and more detail
having a corner with 2 or more pixels in length of the lines will be too sharp in nearly any organic shape. it is sharp and will generally imply a corner or edge of some kind

when creating, and especially finalizing, any kind of png/2D-asset, be sure that there is no opacity value other than 100% (or 0% in rare cases) on anything in the final product
as a part of your review of an asset before handoff, i recommend going through and confirming before "submission"

[!NOTE] as an example: this shows that the green layered over the black (background) has an opacity of some kind
