Operating System

Windows 10

BG3 Mod Manager Version

1.0.10.0

BG3 Game Version

Patch 3

Bug Summary

There is no way to make the script extender work. Not putting it manually, neither installing it from the tools menu. Something may be wrong with the directory? DWrite.dll is present, still not found by the software.

Dealing with the same bug. However, currently running BG3MM on my Steam Deck through Lutris and I'm on Patch 4. I've confirmed that I have .NET 7.0 installed through Lutris. I've tried installing the script extended every which way:

When downloading it through the tools menu, I get a green pop-up at the bottom that confirms that it's been installed correctly, but the manager still won't find it. If I dig through the game files, though, I can confirm that it's been properly installed. Running the game and then checking the manager again makes no difference.

It seems this is the correct way to make it work, had to digg deeeeep https://github.com/norbyte/bg3se/issues/127#issuecomment-1792745170

I tried that. It seems like it's good enough to let my mods run, but the manager still won't detect it and will throw errors.

Me and few others have also been experiencing this issue.

I had this same issue until I installed the .net runtime mentioned in the README.
