Full Release Patch 6 Hotfix 22

Bug Summary

For one thing, I can't load a mod order from a previous save, it keeps saying there is no mod order from the save even though there was before and I get the "different mod settings" warning when loading up a save from prior to the hotfix in-game. For another, I have updated all mods with updates for this latest hotfix, and even those will not export to the game--they just keep being put back in my inactive mods. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have the same problem, have you found a solution ?

ToxicCreed commented 6 months ago

I haven't checked in a bit to see if my game continues to make my mods inactive on the one file, has this been potentially fixed? Or a possible solution found? There was ONE time it worked for me but I have no idea what happened for it to work and now it continues to make all my mods inactive on my most recent file, even starting a new file with the same mods has them become inactive.

Edit: Just launched the game with the mod list and it still disables and makes all the mods for that particular list inactive.

I haven't had any success in fixing this, no matter what I try.

So I loaded my game with a more cleaned out version of my mod list and it is somewhat working. I say somewhat because it still has the load order Saved HOWEVER the game will load to about 75% and then go back to 50% before simply loading me back to the start of the game. Since I have a list of mods not turned on, I've been going through them each to see where ALL of the mods might get turned off and see if the file itself can be played now. I have no idea what was done, or if it will work but it's something!

AFTER MUCH TRIAL AND ERROR I HAVE FOUND WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN THE PROBLEM! Mods List Potential Problem Mods After going through everything I think that some of the PATCH (or perhaps the Fallen CC File) files might be causing the issue! Anything that is highlighted in Blue loads into the game just fine for me! So I highly suggest going through your mods and doing a 'condensed' version and then seeing what loads for you!

Hope this helps everyone!

Adding an update as I did testing with the patches now! Mods List Patches Working Highlighted in Pink, they ALL work and the entire file loads without any issues. The only thing I did was do an update check on Script Extender (Which is on v14 currently) so I do not know what exactly fixed my file. All of my mods work and I am able to play the file with no issue with a condensed down and cleaned up mods list! I have 186 mods loaded with it (I tend to focus purely on cosmetic mods/cc mods mostly) and am able to keep playing!

Update 2: IMMEDIATELY after I did a small test play session it seems as though the game has once again decided to suddenly decide to disable all my mods. I have NO idea what it is doing or why it is doing it... I got it working and suddenly it's not working... with this in mind I do not think it is a mod issue itself and perhaps something clashing between MM and the game itself.

I feel like it started after hotfix 22, I hope the next update fixes the problem. Or you will have to wait for the next patch, i understand that the developers are working to facilitate mods in the game. As it stands, after having sorted my mods multiple times and updated everything, I have the certainty that the conflict comes from the game :/

ace-of-spades025 commented 6 months ago

Unfortunately, I have to agree. It seems like Larian wants to make it harder to mod the game, considering how each update has caused issues with mods, this last one being the worst thus far.

Yeah that's my guess as well, there is conflict coming from the game itself and it will SOMETIMES work but once you do anything in the game it just borks out again. This has been an issue since Patch 6 (where so much just broke due to that) and then it's just gotten worse and the like. This is the only file (thankfully) that I cannot play right now. I can play my others just fine, at least for NOW... I fear playing them and then suddenly getting the same thing. I know Larian has been working with Modders (or at least from what I understand from the Nexus community, I could be wrong) so hopefully this gets fixed...

I have tried and tried, nothing works. It's so frustrating.

OceaneTaquin commented 6 months ago

The same... It's annoying because even if I like the vanilla game, I would like to be able to use my mods freely without worrying. I really like Larian but this is overused, and I don't have the impression that this problem affects many people given the discretion of the subject (at least on French-speaking servers, I don't know what it is about your side)

I redid everything and this time left out unique tav and its patches, and NOW everything seems to be working

OceaneTaquin commented 5 months ago

I tried this method but nothing changes, except now I have an alert in BG3MM informing me that I have a "Missing Mods in Load Order" - "unique_tav (Dependency)". Either I did everything wrong, or I'm really unlucky...

The worst part is, the file I want to use requires I have Unique Tav for the Spectator Tail that my tav has so RIP I'll see about trying things out later since there was a hotfix recently. Fingers crossed!
