6 months ago Thanks for reporting. Does your Ecotop UI have a menu item where you can check the modbus values, to confirm the update didn't break something? (For example, for Vampair heatpumps with buffer that was the case :/ )

6 months ago Thank you for your quick response... and for your amazing work! I will check this today.. see if this is possible in the UI on the screen in the Ecotop... If I understand you correct I should search and find an item in the UI of the Ecotop...that says: "Door contact: open "
Besides this the update seems to enable some other features that i did not have before like the "kg of pellets used in total" and "kg of pellets used since last refill" (visible on the screenshot i referenced before... I have not found this in any modbus documentation... maybe they updated that recently and i cant find it online...

6 months ago ... went through all screens with a "Service-Technician Access" login. ;-) Here are the results of my investigation. On the Touchscreen of the boiler there is "Türkontakt" "Tür ist offen" "door contact" "door is open" and on the second image you can see it says "Türkontrolle" "Aus" / "door control" "off"...
This Button "door control" "off" doesnt do anything when i push it on the touch screen. Seems i cant change this to "door control " "on". (not possible).
I hope this helps... still don't know what door contact is meant. all doors are locked.

6 months ago On my Ecotop Light the door is closed, I also checked the "Türkontrolle", which is on in my case (but also not changeable), might be a hardware option.

6 months ago Interesting... since we both have the same Ecotop Light..... and your "Türkontrolle" is "Ein", and not changeable... I will call the service hotline and ask what that exactly means. I will also let them know that a "friend" with the same model told me that Türkontrolle is Ein on his boiler, and I wonder why it's "Aus" in my case.... ;-)
very strange... but I will let you know what the service hotline says...
Other than that... does anyone know what this Türkontrolle is about? Does this mean that a sensor that checks if a door is open is active or inactive. And what door are we talking about. I haven't found anything in the documentation about this door...

6 months ago This is a handbook picture of the circuit Board of the Ecotop Light. Highlighted in blue is X48 which is called "Türkontakt". However nowhere in the handbook is ever mentioned that this X48 is connected to a doorcontact switch. I checked with handbook of the Octoplus boiler i found a picture that shows the Tuerkontakt swich and it says that it should be connected to X48.
I found a drawing of Ecotop Light ..clearly shows a doorcontact switch, I have circled it in blue.
I will check today at home if it is installed, prepared or connected.
The door contact seems to be the large front door that you need to open in order to get access to the boiler (burner) door. So it shows if the Front door is open or closed.

If true and Ecotop Light never has a door contact we could remove it from the HA integration to avoid confusion with other users who wonder what the heck this is.
Update: i have checked the boiler and it has a physical door contact switch installed, it is also connected to the PCB, but on the Touchscreen it shows door contact disabled (photos) and the door contact Status shows door open whichis the default i guess when disabled.
SInce i cannot enable the door contact status myself i will have to call the manufacturer and ask them to enable this function.
The good thing is everything points now at an issue with my boiler, and not an issue with this integration. Hope to get this fixed by the manufacturer tomorrow.

5 months ago Hello, For my Pellet top boiler I can confirm that the door contact is also not shown correctly in HA. I have configured the "door open" status to be a alarm with mail notification. This is working fine: if the door is open for more than one minute I get the alarm mail. But HA is showing always "door closed"! I have also "Türkontrolle" is "Ein", and not changeable.
I found that the "boiler status" is showing the correct information

Looks exactly the same for my oven. When I open the oven door, a message pops up to close the door. Is there more than one door?

Ecotop Light, received a new FW Update recently. FW 23.091 In the Home Assistant integration i choose 23.020. HA is running latest version.
In HA the "door contact" shows always "OPEN". The boiler is running and i guess the door should show "closed" because i close every door ... makes me think... what exactly does "door contact" mean? What door exactly? Am I missing something?
Maybe someone can help clarifying this...
