Yeah its just kinda simple, this button can be very easily abused for things like cancelling high knockback into the air, fall damage, and getting down quickly. I'm not sure if maybe a long cooldown could be added to the button, or an ability to disable it while in combat (or just make it disabled if not at full health), or something like that.
It's not much of a big deal, since its not intrusive in any way, just something that can be exploited.
The button can 100% be exploited. I think it could be confusing for the players if the button was disabled sometime. I like your ideas, im just not sure how to communicate why the button is disabled.
