Some icons like Steam, Windy and Grover don't have its adaptive icon shape, while on OneUI and Pixel Launcher it's fine.
Enabling automatic adaptive icons just puts the icons into the icon mask but without scaling it, which looks even more ugly.
Use Lawnchair and have these applications installed.
The icons should be displayed correctly.
