I have the same issue using Mac OS X 10.7.5 Google Chrome Version 32.0.1700.77.
The saved presets disappear sporadically. Sometimes refreshing the page is
enough to bring it back, but other times it's just gone.

Annoying issue, still not fixed with latest version of Hangout, Chrome and Mac
OS 10.8.5 as of 13 Feb 2014. I have to reset my lower third every time I start
a new Hangout!

I see this problem using Firefox under Windows XP. I have already documented
some details at:
https://groups.google.com/d/msg/hangout-toolbox/lkFfwt7FgbQ/Mv2oeDVhtDoJ but
wanted to confirm that it's not only relevant to Chrome.
I use several different laptops, and have saved many sets of 'saved presets'
(possibly under different names) but I believe I've only ever seen a previous
one reloaded on one or two occasions. Every other time, no saved ones are
presented to me.

The problem also exists on the latest Chrome on the dev track as well as the
release track.

BUMP
Presets do not save. Windows 8, Chrome and FF. Upon creation and refresh/leave
call, the presets vanish.
Please advise.

This doesn't work for me in Firefox, Chrome or Opera no lower thirds saved. In
Firefox half the time the lower third doesn't work and when it does it does not
display any text. Windows 7 64bit. Latest versions of all browsers.
