• What’s your stack, how are you growing, what are you using.
• Know something about them. Ask questions get them to talk (GHAS) what is your security strategy. Include you in those positions- have to upsell them. Closing role with a big quota.
• You potentially rip a discount from them but based on built relationship with customers have to communicate what’s gained. (you could use EMUs which is free at GHE).
• Setting relationships and taking touch points.
• Listen in on pricing conversations.
• What are you using to stay informed on their growth?
• How does this work with Marketing?
• Microsoft co-sell does not exist with IAMs.

Tools - Looker and Power BI. Use Outreach. Keep in mind: Can’t chase people who aren’t responding to you. Internal - Solutions engineering and product management are where the partnerships are handled.

• Know a lot more about the product. To at least know what they’re asking you. "I bought this thing because it does this how do I implement this". (SEs and Market development group that enables you to have this discussion and finance). SOPs, legal are also internal groups we partner with. Cadence of learning? (products) - join codespaces call, GHAS, a lot of Guru, know how to code, revenue bulletin, re-watch, 2 hours / week. During the week. Slack groups.
• Playing with code enables Docker understanding
• Look for ways to use Python. Built a bot that automated updating SFDC. Advice Find a project that’s several levels lower than you. Not compile but python. Free code camp works nothing that's not free also Pdf books online
• Python can do basic stuff. Super simple “hello world”. Do it with GH
• Stack overflow and GH are the only language platforms you really use. Tools - Freecodecamp.com
• Code as you learn.

Hey Lekari,

Just wanted to clarify your note on Microsoft Co-sell. It does exist for IAMs and its critical to get the process down.
