Too graphically intensive on Chrome? High CPU and GPU utilization #19

Screenshot (245) As you can see, https://sky.lea.moe/ is my only chrome tab open, but it consumes an enormous amount of system resources. I am currently running on an i5 9600k and an RTX 2080, so it's not an underpowered hardware issue. Sky.lea.moe regularly consumes 20-30% of my cpu and 15-20% of my gpu's power.

The enchanted overlays use up a lot of GPU, especially if you have a monitor with a high refresh rate. However it's apparently 3 times worse on Chrome as I'm getting 7% GPU usage on Firefox and 20% on Chrome.

I'm still trying to find a better way of solving those overlays, on mobile they're static already bc of how much of a performance hog they are.

Maybe you could add a button to choose if you want those to be static or animated

You could just launch a static server at some address like static.sky.lea.moe

If you launch a static server at an address like static.sky.lea.moe, you could have express redirect phone users to that address

Ironically I have this issue too, but not with your project. The shinyu instance is what kills me, and yeah I'm running 144hz which causes Brave (chromium) to get almost unusable. I might see if i can make a toggle for it and throw a PR both here and on Shinyu.
